As humans, we are biologically driven to connect with others. Now, imagine being biologically driven to connect while simultaneously growing up in a traumatic, unstable, or chaotic environment. How might your body respond? This is what we will uncover as we explore how early childhood experiences shape our nervous system and relationship patterns, leading to an influence on one’s relationship with food and their body. We will seek to understand eating disorders from a compassionate lens while utilizing somatic and attachment-informed interventions to reconnect us with our authentic selves.
